Ontree Centre

Ontree was born from a wish spoken into the field.
During an Expand the Box training at Anahata, in the space between sessions, we played with stepping into other identities. I took on the mantle of the magician and asked Ana: “What is your wish?” Her answer came clear and fierce: “To create an Adult Initiation Centre.”

A true wish is not just a dream — it is a call. I received her words as a command. From that moment, the seed of Ontree was planted.

Around our kitchen table in 2021–22, that seed was nurtured through long conversations, visions shared, and commitments made. Patricia and I felt the pull so strongly that we sold our house and devoted ourselves to bringing this Centre into form.

From three founders, the circle began to widen, calling in others whose beings resonated with the same purpose.

Each new voice and heart added strength to the dream. At first, our search for land led us around Motueka, yet when Maria Rita and Jacopo joined, the current shifted, drawing us toward Golden Bay.

Ontree did not begin with a plan — it began with a wish, an invocation. It is woven from courage, trust, and the archetypal decision to leap into the unknown together.
